Hey Bloomers! 🌼 This is Tanyaradzwa: 🚶🏾♀️She is walking to her car after a busy day at work. Suddenly, she falls. Is she going to stay there, on the ground, for the rest of her life? No. Common sense tells Tanya to pick herself up, and continue her journey to her car. In the same way, common sense should always tell us that even in more complex situations, the principle is the same: standing again after falling should not be a choice, it should be mandatory. We can’t allow ourselves to stay on the ground forever. (P.S. Yes, that’s that Tanyaradzwa from THIS post, she’s grown now 😂).
A chapter 📑 in a book 📖
I enjoy looking at life as a book, made up of multiple chapters. This outlook makes it easier to bounce back from adversities. If you read books with stories, you’ll know that no story is ever an easy flowing, perfect one. There’s always a point where things start going south ⬇️ And many stories are inspired by real life events. In real life, there will always be a point where things go south.
Just because things aren’t going well in a particular chapter, doesn’t mean that you stop reading the entire book. Because there are still many more chapters to come. The book is not made up only of that sad chapter, it’s made up of multiple chapters with multiples emotions, struggles and successes. You know what? It might even be a bad couple of paragraphs and the chapter gets better!! Just because you’ve fallen and are going through a difficult time, doesn’t mean the rest of your life will be that way. There are still many more beautiful chapters (and paragraphs) for you to write, but you first have to pick yourself up. It starts with standing again after falling.
Remember – You’ve done this before
The scenario might not be the same, but you’ve fallen and gotten back up from previous setbacks. If you could do it then, you can do it now. That is a prior record that you can make reference to every time you feel as if life is pushing you down. If you fought and won before, you will fight and win now, and forever.
Every battle begins in the mind. As I wrote in one of my first blog posts, it is important to understand that you have to deal with a problem mentally before you face it in the physical world. It all begins in the mind. A prerequisite for winning a battle externally is winning it internally. You have to believe that you have what it takes to stand up and continue on your journey, and this goes for every area of life. For instance, your business hitting a rough patch doesn’t mean that you should pack up your things and start something else. It means that you sit down and have a talk with yourself. You tell yourself that you have what it takes to succeed. After that, you implement a new plan and you carry on. Remember, if the plan doesn’t work, change the plan, but never the goal.
It may sound cheesy, but it’s true. When you begin to believe in yourself, more than half the work has already been done. Believing is what will keep you going, until you reach where you have to be. When your mentality levels up, you become unstoppable. So tell yourself that you’ve got this, and sure enough, you’ll be right back up before you know it 💪🏾
I acknowledge that standing again after falling is not easy. In fact, most of the time, it’s quite difficult. But you’re capable of doing it, over and over again. Because you’re a Bloomer, and Bloomers are strong and resilient. They don’t stop until they become the flowers they’re meant to be 🌼
I believe in you ☺️
